Our Story

It all began in 1993, in Albuquerque, New Mexico—a partnership with the city to build an affordable housing community. But that project with the city transformed quickly into a passion for the city and the people who call it their home. The original Sol Housing team (formerly known as GAHP) recognized that their aspirations went beyond the scope of the city’s plans. So they reached higher, intentionally curating a team of the very best talents in the state. Like-minded visionaries who cared more about paying back than a pay check. Who wanted to make a contribution. Who shared their belief that everyone deserves a home.

Meet the Board

The Board of Directors serves as the governing board for Sol Housing, a private non-profit 501(c)3, and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). Our board members believe that providing affordable housing is the key to building a better Albuquerque.
