Farolito Senior Community is an apartment community that includes 82 units for seniors 55 and older. It is located on State Trust Land across from Luminaria, creating a visual entry to the East Gateway neighborhood on Route 66. Features include a community room, dog wash, dog park, and multi-purpose space, and advanced site sustainability features. The site was previously part of the Ponderosa RV and Mobile Home Park and is owned by the New Mexico State Land Office (NMSLO). NMSLO has leased the land to Sol Housing, and 94% of the earnings from lease payments go to support the New Mexico public education system, public universities, and hospitals.

Sol Housing and Jaynes Corporation hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on September 25, 2025, and construction was completed in early 2026.

Funding for Farolito Senior Community is provided by the City of Albuquerque, Low Income Housing Tax Credits from Housing New Mexico, and ARPA funds from the NM Governor's Office of Housing.
