Senida “Nida” Gurule is a Respiratory Therapy student at CNM. With a passion for healthcare and a desire to make a positive impact, Nida is committed to providing high-quality care. Her career goals are driven by a deep-seated passion for healthcare, a desire to make a difference in the lives of patients, and a commitment to professional growth and development. “I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in my journey as a future respiratory therapist and look forward to contributing to the field while striving for excellence in patient care and service.”
Nida has been working as an EMT for the past seven years, responding to 911 calls and providing critical care to those in need. In addition to her work as an EMT, Nida had the opportunity to work for FEMA during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as gaining experience as an Emergency Room technician. “My decision to pursue a career in respiratory therapy stems from my experiences working in emergency medicine, where I witnessed firsthand the critical role that respiratory therapists play in saving lives and improving patient outcomes,” explains Nida.
How will you build a better Albuquerque?
“In my role as a respiratory therapist, I will play a crucial part in helping individuals manage respiratory conditions, recover from illnesses, and improve their overall lung health. By providing specialized care, education, and support to patients, I will empower them to take control of their health and lead healthier lives. Healthier individuals are not only more productive and engaged members of society but also inspire others to prioritize their well-being. By leveraging this scholarship to deepen my understanding of respiratory care, I can implement innovative practices, develop community-based programs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address complex health challenges leading to improved health outcomes and safer environments for all.”
