Kimberly Obregon is a single mother of 10 children who has devoted her life to ensuring that each child in Albuquerque has the opportunity to meet their greatest potential. She has worked and served in the Community surrounding the International District since 2016, living, volunteering, and operating a business from the neighborhood. She has volunteered and served the community through Shine School Partnership, and served on the Albuquerque Public Schools Redistricting Committee. In recent years she has worked as a Community School Coordinator for APS, worked with New Mexico Black Leadership Council supporting their Roots Summer Leadership Academy, and taught workshops on plants and flowers through Explora Children's Science Museum. She has served on multiple non-profit boards in Albuquerque. After more than a decade, she is reentering her career as an educator, and is attending classes at UNM to accomplish that goal. She is particularly interested in utilizing the practice of Applied Behavior Analysis to support the learning of students who are struggling to make progress in school and childcare facilities.

How will you build a better Albuquerque? Our children are our future.  By focusing on the children who need the most support, I will be ensuring the brightest future not only for them, but for our community as a whole.
